  • Component types: specification-time evolution via heterogeneous subtyping; architectural type conformance. C2 SADEL's notion of types includes component behavior, described in 1st order logic; subtyping rules (including behavior subtyping) are formally specified using a novel, extensible framework of type sytems.
  • Connector types: context-reflective interfaces, message filtering.
  • Configurations: component and connector instances and their interconnections.
